Combining food and wines one of my greatest passions and after many years spent working with creative cooking the "complete dining experience" is my religion. With this in mind Sjömagasinet will be preparing well thouth out dishes paired with exciting beverages, maximizing and allowing for the perfect taste experience.

Toghether with Gustav Trägårdh, Sweden's Chef of the year 2010 we will presebt both classic and innovative cooking based on fish and shellfish in a unique and and inspired setting. Even though changes have occurred I believe you will feel at home again here and you are all most welcome.

About Sjömagasinet

Sjömagasinet is beautifully situated at the mouth of Gothenburg’s harbor and can be dated back to 1775 as a warehouse for the East Indian Company. Through the years this building has been a workplace for both the Customs and Excise and Gothenburg’s tug boats. In 1984 Vingabolaget opened a restaurant and ten years later the legendary chef Leif Mannerström took over. Sjömagasinet quickly became known as Sweden’s most famous fish and shellfish restaurant. From the 1st of April 2011, Ulf Wagner has taken over this historical building with the prospect of lifting it to new heights.
